ATL Vent Valve for vertical, fuel tank top plate mounting, with -6 male tail for connection to a breather pipe and retained in the top plate with a -8 AN through bulkhead nut. These vent valves must be sealed with a suitable bonded seal type -8 washer. Fuel tanks need to be vented, otherwise as the fuel is used, the tank will collapse as a vacuum is created. These vent valves allow air to replace the fuel, but in the event of the car rolling over, the valve closes and prevents fuel from escaping from the fuel cell.
