Monit wheel sensor or inductive wheel probe, very popular on older vehicles that don't have a suitable factory speed sensor, this type of probe is typically used to sense the bolts or rear of wheel studs, which attach a brake disc and or wheel to a non-driven wheel hub or alternatively propshaft flange bolts or driveshaft bolts. With a 12mm probe head diameter and 2m length integral wiring cable, the sensing distance is to be set to 2-3mm. We highly recommend keeping a spare cable in the service barge or management car.
